Welcome to My Personal Website!
Hi there! I’m Stephen Sun, a fourth-year Business Administration major at UC Irvine’s Paul Merage School of Business. But beyond the textbooks and spreadsheets, I like to think of myself as a curious nomad—someone who thrives at the crossroads of cultures, industries, and passions. Growing up, I moved constantly, hopping between countries, languages, and customs, never staying rooted to one place for too long. It was both disorienting and enlightening, but it taught me how to adapt, connect, and see the world through a kaleidoscope of perspectives.
At heart, I’m someone who loves to explore—whether it’s navigating the complexities of global financial markets, hiking through nature’s quiet trails, or staying on top of the latest tech trends. (Seriously, I’m that friend who geeks out over every new Apple release or spends hours watching Marques Brownlee videos just to hear him say, “What’s up, MKBHD here.”)
Professionally, I’m fascinated by the intersection of business, sustainability, and technology. My family’s textile business in Shanghai taught me early on about the weight of tradition and the power of entrepreneurship. Since then, I’ve worked on understanding everything from sustainable land development to investment strategies for emerging markets. I’ve interned in places as diverse as Taiwan and Los Angeles, diving into everything from fixed-income products to financial forecasting. Most recently, I’ve been exploring the intricacies of supply chain logistics and environmental conservation, driven by a desire to harmonize profitability with purpose.
When I’m not deep in spreadsheets or brainstorming ways to make businesses more sustainable, you’ll probably find me outdoors, hiking under a canopy of trees, or indoors, nerding out over the latest tech gadget. Nature keeps me grounded, while technology keeps me inspired—I believe both have the power to shape a better, smarter future.
